MCL is a specialist manufacturer of flexible passive fire protection systems and has extensive experience in the design, testing, construction and installation of fire seal systems, module seal systems and fireproof enclosures for the oil, gas, petrochemical and refining industries worldwide. Our experienced engineering staff may also be called upon to design bespoke systems and to further manage testing and certification.
Throughout testing MCL's systems have maintained their integrity, stability and insulation properties, and accordingly carry certification issued by Lloyd's Register of Shipping and Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
The Firetex range of pipe penetration seal systems have been subjected to independent blast over-pressure testing and have proved their ability to maintain stability and integrity in blasts of up to 1.35bar G. These systems have been subjected to hydrocarbon & jet fire testing and carry approvals from H0 up to J120.
The Firetex range of module seal systems has been subjected to independent blast overpressure testing and have proved their ability to maintain stability and integrity in blasts of up to of 1.17 Bar G. These systems have been subjected to hydrocarbon & jet fire testing and carry approvals from H0 up to J45.
The Firetex range of enclosure systems has been independently tested to resist hydrocarbon and jet fire scenarios. As there is no international standard for hydrocarbon testing we have been awarded a letter of compliance by Lloyd’s Register. For jet fire testing we have tested our enclosures to IMO 22899-1 with approvals to J90.
Our parent company ISL is the principal Manufacturer of our range of passive fire protection systems. Due to the synergy between our companies, this allows us to keep control of the entire supply chain process from order through to dispatch.
Our fire seals are designed with ease of installation/removal in mind, we consider CUI (corrosion under insulation) and understand the necessity of surveys to monitor CUI, MCL seals can be fitted and removed simply, we can also cater for extreme movement between pipe and sleeve unlike some competitors systems that remain fixed in position. Throughout testing MCL's systems have maintained their integrity, stability and insulation properties, and accordingly carry certification issued by Lloyd's Register of Shipping.
Every year MCL employees make a sizeable donation to charity, we believe in supporting those less fortunate and like to demonstrate our corporate social responsibility is addressed.
